Sending out a special welcome to our newest interns: Chase, Clare, Julia, Ksenia, and Nick! They will be reviewing and vetting our Gripped series to ensure the books are authentic and relatable to modern teen life.

Chase Fitzpatrick is a rising senior at Hanover High School in Massachusetts. He is ranked 3rd in the country for the Taekwondo Junior (15-17) Heavy Weight division and has competed globally. He recently won the Bronze Medal at the 2026 Nationals. He enjoys traveling around the country for competitions and passing his passion onto the younger kids he instructs at Xcel Taekwondo. At Hanover High School, he is the kicker for the Varsity football team and a member of DECA. His favorite subjects in school are history and math. He has a passion for business and also interns at a local law firm. He has been investing in the stock market since age 11 and hopes to pursue a career in business management.

Clare Carlson is a rising senior at Duxbury High School in Massachusetts. She is captain of the girls’ ski racing and rowing teams. She is a part of both the National Honor Society and Spanish Honor Society, as well as various other clubs. Her favorite subject in school is math, and she hopes to study business management in college. Outside of school, she loves to be out on the water in Duxbury Bay and also has a job at Benchwarmers Pizza, where she makes food and helps manage the store.

Julia Kroon is a rising senior at North Andover High School in Massachusetts. She is captain of the Indoor and Outdoor Track and Field program, along with the Cross Country team. She is a part of the National Honor Society and plans to major in finance. Julia enjoys reading, hiking, and spending time with her two cats.

Ksenia Nenacheva is a student at Notre Dame Academy, graduating in 2027. She is a dedicated student-athlete who competes in swimming year-round while balancing her academic interests in history, English, business, and global affairs. She enjoys learning about different cultures, communication, and the ways businesses and organizations connect with people around the world. Outside of school, Ksenia is passionate about mental health advocacy, community involvement, and personal growth. Over the past several summers, she has participated in educational programs in Italy, where she studied business and communication while helping younger students develop language skills. She enjoys traveling, exploring new opportunities, working on passion projects, and spending time with friends and family. In the future, Ksenia hopes to pursue a career in the entertainment industry, combining her interests in business, communication, and creativity.

Nick Hallal is a senior at Boston College High School who’s interested in sports and fitness. He’s been on the varsity wrestling team for 3 years. At school, he is the president and founder of the Bible Club, and he is the captain of Bowman House, participating in leadership activities in and out of school. Over the summer, Nick works at SNAP camp, a special needs camp, enjoying being able to help out others. In his free time, he likes watching sports and hanging out with friends and family. He plans to major in Health Sciences in college with dreams of pursuing a career in medicine.
