Meet Laurie O’Sullivan

Laurie is a 17 year old senior at Dover Sherborn High School where she likes to be involved with sports and extracurriculars. She is part of the National Honor Society and tutors high schoolers who want extra help in biology. She runs on the track team, leads a service club, is part of a women’s group, and is involved with an environmental club. In her free time, she likes to read, listen to music, and play the piano. Her love for spending time with kids is shown through her summer job as a camp counselor and her regular babysitting hours. She hopes to study communications in college and travel a lot in the future!

The book Gripped Part 2: Blindsided by Stacy Padula will change your view on teens’ lives, no matter what your age is. It can be hard for people to grasp what young kids go through these days, and this book is an incredible way to get some insight. It inspires the reader to not fall into the trap of partying and to really focus on their goals for the future. I learned how I can better handle my own relationships whether that be with family or friends, and I connected with the story more than I expected to.

This book is the second of its series, and it lived up to all of my expectations after finishing the first one. I left off the first read feeling like there were so many loose strings to tie up, and wondering how the next book would manage to satisfy my questions while still remaining as an amazing read. Gripped Part 2: Blindsided, somehow did just that. It answered my questions while creating a more complex storyline to get me excited for the next book. It becomes more intense and complex as it progresses, and I am excited to see what the next book in the series holds!
