Gripped Part 2: Blindsided by Stacy A. Padula will have you captivated from cover to cover.  The book picks up where Part 1 left off, with Taylor Dunkin trying to pull his life together after a hard struggle with substance abuse.  Meanwhile, we learn more about Chris Dunkin’s past and personal struggles.

This novel displays exactly how drugs hold captive young people in our society.  Whether it’s peer pressure, a need to numb physical or mental pain, or want of pleasure, substance abuse can easily ensnare even the “nicest” kids.  Stacy Padula’s novel will not only interest you, but it also demonstrates the downfalls of experimenting with drugs.
