The book Gripped Part 5: Taylor’s Story, written by Stacy Padula, depicts the negative effects of substances and alcohol on groups of teenagers. This story is full of mysteries and exciting events that keep the reader from ever putting the book down. As the book progresses the reader finds out that one of the main characters is in a significant amount of trouble. The Dunkin family must come together and discover Taylor’s whereabouts to make sure he is safe. Along with this, Missy has also gone missing and has not been seen since the night her friend group went out to the club. Secrets and clues are leading each search closer together and the family members must find out who they can trust.

This novel is a great read for high school and college students because they can easily relate to the social situations that the Gripped characters are put into. I would most definitely rate this book a 5 out of 5 stars because of its continuous suspense and mystery that each chapter provides. It is definitely recommended, and I believe that anyone who reads this novel will also find it to be an intriguing page turner.
