While “Gripped Part 4: Smoke & Mirrors” by Stacy A. Padula could be an engaging book for many readers, I believe it would be most intriguing to teens and young adults. For high-schoolers in particular, the themes and topics are relatable and relevant. For any teens faced with the difficulties of drug addiction and teenage relationships, I recommend this book to you.

The subjects covered in “Gripped Part 4” are those which teenagers struggle with daily. Many high-schoolers are faced with the same tough decisions as the characters in the series. Teens will find the topics of substance abuse, alcohol addiction, and sexual temptation applicable to their own lives.

Many parents have no idea what their teens are exposed to on a daily basis. The Gripped series might help them see how their child is pressured and conflicted. Parents’ eyes will be opened to the temptations which teens desperately need help navigating by reading this series.
