“After working closely with teenagers for many years, I saw an urgent need for realistic young adult books. With teenage suicide, drug abuse, and bullying on the rise, I knew something had to be done to help teens realize their worth. Teenagers have far too much value-each and every one of them-to throw themselves into the downward spiral of substance abuse. Through the eyes of a variety of characters, my books share valuable life-lessons that point teenagers towards success and fulfillment. It is my hope that these books will help teenagers overcome the harsh battle between gaining social acceptance and being true to their own convictions,” says author, Stacy A. Padula.
Why should teens read Montgomery Lake High?
Stacy A. Padula’s novels address teenage social issues such as bullying, peer pressure, self-acceptance, substance abuse, recovery, and faith. Montgomery Lake High boldly faces the reality that high school is not a musical, and often a social war-zone. It has been labeled by Strategic Book Group as a series that will “hit home with many teens looking for answers.”

Stacy wrote the Montgomery Lake High series in the hopes of preparing teens to face the “war zone” that is high school–to help kids deal with the stress and peer pressure, and to encourage them to “steer a straight path, pursue God, and not fall for the false promises of the world.” Stacy, a native of Pembroke, Massachusetts, has completed five books to date, including The Aftermath, The Forces Within, and The Montgomery Lake High Trilogy. http://stacyapadula.com
