Grace Gerety Reviews “Gripped #5: Taylor’s Story”

By Grace Gerety—Duxbury, Massachusetts

Gripped 5: Taylor’s Story by Stacy Padula is an essential part of the Gripped series. The book answers questions that have been answered throughout multiple books. Gripped 5 specifically focuses on Taylor staying clean and dealing with what to do about his role within organized crime in Boston. Although he accidentally found himself tied up in this organized crime he can not as easily escape it.

Taylor is also forced to deal with seeing what his own abuse problems have caused. He has some difficult yet needed conversations with the people closest to him, especially his family. Something that was so hard for Taylor to see was the details of introducing drugs to his friends and brother’s friends. This book is incredible and a needed read for anyone who is dealing with substance abuse or has a loved one who is.
