Izzy Aldridge Reviews “The Right Person” by Stacy Padula

Izzy Aldridge—Plymouth, Massachusetts

The Right Person (Montgomery Lake High #1) by Stacy Padula is a great read for upcoming teens and high schoolers. The book is full of drama and relationships amongst the characters so it will definitely keep one interested while reading. The book introduces young teens entering high school who are figuring out who they are and who they want to surround themselves with. Relationships are formed and unformed throughout the book within the high school students; with other people and God as well. The characters in the book influence each other to try new things and to hangout with new faces.

If you are someone looking to connect better with your faith or become more exposed to religion this book is just for you. The religious alludes mentioned by the Montgomery Lake students will definitely make you feel involved and connected.

I am a junior in high school currently and I can certainly relate to the characters’ positions. In high school almost all students are exposed to curious people trying new substances and partying all the time. It allows me to connect with the characters’ situations and new exposures. The book reassures me that I am not ‘boring’ or ‘immature’ because I don’t drink or attend parties. It makes me feel appreciated for staying grounded in my morals.

Author Stacy Padula does an excellent job including all scenarios and difficult situations that teenagers put themselves in or have to deal with. I love acknowledging the growth of the characters throughout reading the book and I am very excited to read the next book.
